My digital journey began on an IBM PC Jr. where I typed my first lines in BASIC. Moving to QBASIC on Windows 3.1 and later Windows 95, this era taught me invaluable lessons in syntax, problem-solving, and logical structuring—foundational skills I still apply in modern web and app development today. This early immersion sparked a lifelong passion for how code brings ideas to life.
Venturing onto the World Wide Web
While the internet was still new, I began learning HTML in 1995. By 1996, I was building my first websites for clients—primarily small businesses in my local area. This hands-on experience taught me the critical importance of translating a client’s vision into a functional and visually appealing online presence, a principle that remains central to my work for businesses in Dutchess County, NY today.
Strategic Insights from the Front Lines
While continuously building websites and personal education I spent almost a decade as a front-end manager for a small business. This experience provided invaluable insights into the daily struggles of local enterprises, particularly restaurants, to succeed in competitive markets. I applied this firsthand knowledge to develop effective digital marketing strategies, brand identity solutions, and user-centric websites for clients, helping them thrive in the Hudson Valley.
Launching a Global Freelance Venture
Around 2012, I embraced the rise of online freelance platforms, starting my service on Fiverr.
