Salvatore’s Website Refresh.
A cleaner, faster, more polished restaurant landing experience for Salvatore’s Wood Fired Pizza in Red Hook, NY rebuilt around food photography, ordering paths, delivery clarity, menu discovery, and a stronger brand presentation.
The site needed to feel like a real restaurant landing page again.
The goal was not to make every page overly playful or template-heavy. The homepage needed to stay image-led and restaurant-focused while still matching the cleaner design system built across the rest of the site.
The refresh focused on stronger visual hierarchy, clearer calls to action, more premium food presentation, better navigation behavior, and a footer that gives visitors useful information immediately.
- Restaurant-first homepage structureThe homepage was rebuilt section by section around food photography, premium black contrast areas, popular menu items, pasta features, and conversion-focused CTAs.
- Cleaner ordering pathsOrder Online, Delivery Checker, View Menu, Catering, and Call actions were surfaced more clearly throughout the experience.
- Navigation improvementsThe header was refined for readability across transparent and sticky states, with cleaner dropdown styling and a brand-friendly pizza menu icon.
- Live footer hoursThe footer now includes a full hours card with automatic Open Now / Closed Now logic based on New York time.
What changed in this update?
This was a practical refresh, not a decorative reskin. The work focused on visual polish, clearer ordering flow, better mobile behavior, and stronger restaurant trust signals.
Homepage Sections
Created new modular homepage sections for the intro, catering/delivery, popular pizzas, pasta feature, pasta dishes, and footer.
Menu Presentation
Rebuilt key menu areas with better image sizing, premium menu cards, direct ordering links, and cleaner responsive behavior.
Footer + Hours
Built a full custom footer with logo, address, phone, social links, quick actions, and live open/closed status.
Mobile + Safari Cleanup
Adjusted spacing, sticky navigation behavior, dropdown readability, and icon positioning for a more stable cross-device experience.
Delivery + Gift Cards
Improved standalone sales pages for delivery checking and e-gift cards so they feel designed, not dropped in as shortcodes.
Brand Consistency
Balanced Italian, whimsical, and professional design cues without making the restaurant feel cheap or overly cartoonish.
Food websites need to sell quickly.
Restaurant visitors are usually hungry, comparing options, or trying to place an order fast. The updated site now gives them a clearer path: see the food, understand the offer, check delivery, view the menu, call, or order.
Less Friction
Key actions are repeated where they make sense instead of forcing visitors to hunt through the navigation.
Better Trust
Hours, address, phone, social links, and clear restaurant information are presented with stronger design and better visibility.
More Appetite Appeal
The homepage now leans into real food imagery and a premium café/restaurant feeling instead of generic content blocks.
